Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Registered Acupuncturist
Though born and raised in Canada, she ventured back to the birthplace of Chinese medicine to embark in a fully immersive formal training in TCM. Tabitha graduated with a bachelor’s degree in TCM after four years of intensive studies and one year of clinical internship at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In tandem with her studies in China, she also worked alongside her TCM master, Dr. Liu Zhao Qiang at Bo Xin Ling Medical Clinic in Jinan, Shandong for three years. Tabitha studied the Chinese language, Taoist philosophy, Qigong, Chadao (tea ceremony) in order to piece together the all-encompassing approach of TCM.
Upon discovery of commonalities between Chinese medicine’s ‘Yangsheng’ (life nourishment) and western biomedical public health promotion, Tabitha pursued a Master of Public Health in further deepening understanding of community health. Her research was on Chinese medicine for postpartum mental health distress.
Nowadays, Tabitha is devoted to working alongside clients in supporting balanced mental-emotional wellbeing, ease in all cycles of women’s health, and cultivating a joyful lifestyle through the application of classical Chinese healing.
